Do you mind if I sit down?
I can see the pain behind those misty eyes
I know she broke your heart in two
but son, I've been there too
I know you've had some long and sleepless nights

As life goes by
You'll learn to understand the reasons why
We have to say 'Goodbye', sometimes

the best part of life is all the surprises
